MC Tool Kit

The Honeywell MC Toolkit Configurator is a Pocket PC-based engineering and maintenance tool for configuring, monitoring, diagnosing and managing smart field instruments/devices

Designed specifically for ease-of-use and increased productivity, this multipurpose tool supports Digitally Enhanced (DE) and HART communication protocols. It complements the Honeywell Smartline® Configuration Toolkit (SCT 3000) and Smart Field Communicator (SFC®) or can replace other Universal HART configurators.

The MC Toolkit allows easy access to instrument configuration database parameters using state-of-the-art Pocket PC operating system technology. Now even the casual user can easily navigate through database configuration without the need for prior training, user manuals or previous experience. In addition, on-line help is provided.

The MC Toolkit provides two software applications with the following functions:

• The MC Toolkit software application configures both Honeywell DE and HART transmitter with the same hardware
• The SDC 625 software application configures any HART device whose device description is compliant with the HART standard

The SDC 625 software application utilizes DD-IDE/SDC 625 technology and open tools standard. Each MC Toolkit is loaded with all HART Device Descriptions files so that any HART device can be configured, including common, universal and specific device commands. It will also allow vendor-specific menus to be run.

The MC Toolkit communicates with the following field devices:

• Honeywell ST 3000 DE and HART pressure transmitters
•  Honeywell STT 3000 DE and HART temperature transmitters including the STT 250 and STT 350
• Any HART transmitter/device by other manufacturers
